Good for locals who want an easy hour outdoors in Little River, morning or weekday evening. The trade-off: the city's page says little about what's there, so don't plan a whole day around it.

Opening and closing

Hours run 7 am to 9 pm Monday through Friday, then the weekend cuts two hours off the evening: 7 am to 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday. That's the detail that catches people. A Saturday sunset plan can run straight into closing time, especially in summer when the light lasts. Weekday evenings are the easy window for an after-work stop, and the 7 am opening every day suits early walkers and anyone with kids up before the sun.

A city park, plainly

This is a City of Miami park, listed in the city's parks directory under its full name, Legion Memorial Park. It sits at 6447 NE 7th Ave in Little River, a neighborhood stretch rather than a tourist strip. It holds a 4.5 from about 730 Google reviews, which is solid for a local park and suggests the people who use it actually like it. The city's page doesn't list amenities, so check what's on site before you plan around courts or a playground.

Fitting it into your day

Treat Legion Park as a neighborhood stop, not a destination worth crossing the county for. It works best folded into a morning in Little River: an hour outside before the heat builds, or a weekday evening while it's open until 9. Bring your own water and shade plans, since we couldn't confirm facilities from the sources. Organizing a group gathering or an event? The city's Parks and Recreation department is who to ask about permits and space.
