En corto

  • Carnival terminals: D, E and F on the north side of PortMiami.
  • Terminal D: Garage D or Surface Lot D, 1400 N Cruise Blvd.
  • Terminals E and F: Surface Lot E for E; Garage G, 921 N America Way, for F.
  • Price: $28 a day overnight; $10 a day if you are only dropping off.
  • Bring: a credit card or cash; debit cards are not accepted.

Carnival guests pay $28 a day at every port lot that serves their terminals, so the only decision is which one: Garage D for Terminal D, Lot E for Terminal E, Garage G for Terminal F, and Lot E for anything taller than a van.

The short answer

PortMiami lists Carnival at Terminals D, E and F, all on the north side of the port. There is no Carnival-only garage and no booking system for these lots: you drive in, take a ticket and pay $28 a day when you collect the car. That rate is the same at Garage D, Surface Lot E and Garage G.

Before you set the GPS, open your boarding documents. They name the terminal for your sailing, and PortMiami's terminal page is clear that the line uses all three.

4 days$112
5 days$140
6 days$168
7 days$196

PortMiami charges per day or part of a day, so a 7-night cruise is 7 or 8 days depending on when you enter and leave; budget for 8. A lost ticket is charged up to $275.

Height limits at the Carnival garages

Garage D clears 8 ft 2 in on the first floor but only 6 ft 8 in on the floors above. Garage G clears 9 ft 6 in on the first floor and 6 ft 11 in above. A tall SUV with a roof box can fit on the ground floor and still hit the ramp to level two.

Surface Lot E has no roof at all, which is why PortMiami sends oversized vans, RVs and vehicles with trailers there. They pay $25 per space per day, or $50 for two spaces. For help with an oversized vehicle, the port lists 305-960-5463 and 305-960-6454.

Dropping off or meeting the ship

If someone is only dropping you off, the short-term rate at Garage D, Lot E and Garage G is $10 per day with no overnight stay. Rideshare cars use designated pickup and drop-off zones at the terminals, and taxis wait at every cruise terminal on cruise days.

Coming without a car, the free route is the Metromover to Freedom Tower and the City of Miami's free Coral Way Trolley across the bridge. One of its stops is across from the Terminal E surface lot.

Disabled and veteran parking

Every port garage has designated disabled spaces. Drivers with a disabled permit or plate pay the standard rate but get the first two hours free, and vehicles fitted with ramps, lifts or hand controls are exempt.

Cars with a Florida disabled-veteran plate park free when the veteran is in the car: at the exit, show the ticket, driver's license and registration and fill in a short form.
