  • Closest: Bayside Marketplace, right where the port bridge starts.
  • Quick view: Skyviews wheel at Bayside: 12 to 15 minutes, about 200 feet up.
  • On the water: Island Queen's 90-minute Millionaire's Row cruise, $35 adults.
  • Rainy hours: Pérez Art Museum ($18) and Frost Science (from $29.95), side by side.
  • With bags: Store them first; the port has no luggage storage.

Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel

Bayside Marketplace, 401 Biscayne Blvd · Downtown · Abierto hasta 9 pm

The wheel at Bayside is the quickest way to see where you are sailing from: a ride of about 12 to 15 minutes, 4 to 6 turns, roughly 200 feet up, with views over Biscayne Bay toward Miami Beach. Its 42 gondolas are climate controlled and parties are never combined.

It opens at 1 pm on weekdays and noon at weekends, until 10 pm, so it suits the afternoon before sailing or a post-cruise evening rather than an early boarding morning. Tickets are sold online or at the booth; check today's price on the tickets page.

Bayfront Park

301 Biscayne Blvd · Downtown · Abierto hasta 11 pm

Downtown's waterfront park sits beside Bayside, with an amphitheater and a landmark fountain. It costs nothing and is the easiest place to stretch your legs while you wait for a boarding slot.

Big events take over parts of the park on some dates; check the park's events page before you count on the lawn.
