When to go

The Bayside desk is open 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM daily. Daytime cruises give the clearest look at the houses; the sunset cruise puts the light behind the skyline. Weekends and cruise-ship days fill up, so book a weekday morning for a calmer boat.

Know before you go

Boats leave from Bayside Marketplace, 401 Biscayne Blvd in Downtown, about 5 miles from South Beach. Check current prices on their site, where you can also book combo tickets with Big Bus or the Everglades. Bayside has paid garages, or take the free Metromover to the Bayside stop. The lower deck is shaded, but bring sunscreen for the top deck.
