Superblue and Frost Science: the two that fill a day
Frost Science is the safest indoor bet in Miami because it is open every day of the year, from 10 am. Adults start at $29.95 and youth 4 to 11 at $24.95, and the price depends on the day you visit. Parking on site is an $18 flat rate. PAMM is next door on the same bayfront park, so a wet afternoon can take in both.
Superblue is the opposite: no exhibits to read, just large walk-in works. Its Miami space, across NW 23rd Street from the Rubell Museum, lists James Turrell's light room, Es Devlin's mirrored labyrinth, teamLab's digital worlds and a light installation by Studio Lemercier, among others. Weekend tickets cost $8 more than weekday ones, so go Monday to Thursday if you can. A free guided tour runs at 1 pm with a general ticket, and teamLab's Massless Clouds is a $12 add-on.
MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM
General admission starts at $24 and includes timed entry, unlimited ice cream and the photo rooms; a Flex ticket from $32 adds a 90-minute entry window, and VIP from $49 skips the line. Prices vary by day and time.
Open 10 am to 8 pm Monday to Thursday and to 8:30 pm Friday to Sunday, with last entry 90 minutes before closing. The museum says a visit typically takes about 90 minutes.
Paradox Museum Miami
An illusion museum where every room is a trick for the camera. Tickets start at $21 for children and $26 for adults, and children under 4 go free. A visit takes about 75 minutes.
Its hours are listed as tentative: noon to 7 pm on weekdays, 10 am to 9 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday, with the last session an hour before closing. Confirm in its ticketing app on the day.
Puttery
Three themed nine-hole courses under one roof. Unlimited play is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 17 and under; 18 holes is $21. Closed on Mondays, open from noon on weekends and from 3 pm Tuesday to Friday.
All ages are welcome all day Sunday to Thursday and until 5 pm on Friday and Saturday; after that it is 18 and over with photo ID, open until 1 am.
Kids Empire Miami Dolphin Mall
An indoor playground with climbing frames and slides. Admission is $22.90 per child, and each child brings two adults in free; extra adults pay $5. Babies under 1 enter free with a paying sibling.
Socks are required for everyone, adults included, and are sold at the desk. No drop-off. Open 10 am to 8 pm Monday to Thursday and 10 am to 10 pm Friday to Sunday on the main hours listing; the page shows a second set of hours in its header, so check before a late visit.
Où ils sont
Free, and for jumping
The Institute of Contemporary Art in the Design District charges nothing. Galleries are open Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, and the museum recommends booking a free ticket ahead, because it can refuse entry when the building is full. PAMM is free on Thursdays after 5 pm and stays open until 9 pm that night.
For trampolines, the nearest parks are in Doral, Kendall and Cutler Bay, not near the beach. Sky Zone Doral sells a 90-minute pass for $25.99 and an all-day pass for $34.99; Urban Air in Kendall sells unlimited play for $34.99. Our trampoline park guide has hours, socks and the rest.
