The short version

  • Start: Sunset at South Pointe Park; about 5:30 pm from mid-November.
  • On the water: Bayside night cruises from $29.99, or the Miami River at night from $45.
  • Live music: Ball & Chain on Calle Ocho, open until 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Dinner and a show: Mango's on Ocean Drive, show nightly at 7:30 pm, bar until 5 am.
  • Free: PAMM until 9 pm on Thursdays; WALLCAST concerts on set Saturdays.

A good Miami night out is sunset on the water, dinner with live music on Calle Ocho or Ocean Drive, and a late drink, not only a nightclub; plan it around the night of the week, because the free events run on fixed days.
