Crazy About You
Crazy About You is one of the cheapest ways in Brickell to eat with Biscayne Bay in front of you. Dinner entrées run $25.99 to $43.99, and most of them come with a free appetizer of your choice, which is the trick that keeps the bill down.
It opens at 11:30 am on weekdays and at 10 am on weekends, with brunch from 10:30 am to 4 pm, and closes at 11 pm early in the week and midnight on Friday and Saturday. Happy hour runs daily 4 to 7 pm with 50% off cocktails and beer. Watch the fine print: a 2.5% surcharge on card payments, and 18% gratuity included for groups of six or more.
The mainland has three waterfronts
Miami Beach gets the ocean, but the mainland has more water-facing tables than most visitors expect. They fall into three groups. Brickell and Bayside face Biscayne Bay and the downtown marinas. The Miami River, just west of downtown, is a working river where fishing boats unload next to the restaurants. Coconut Grove sits on the bay around Dinner Key, among the sailboats.
Pick by what you want to see. The river is the most Miami thing on this list and the most casual. Bayside is the easiest if you are already downtown, with the boats and the skyline. The Grove is for a slow afternoon. If you want the Atlantic itself, see our Miami Beach waterfront guide instead; this one stays on the mainland.

La Cañita Bayside
La Cañita is the Cuban-Caribbean restaurant from chef Michelle Bernstein's group, upstairs at Bayside Marketplace since 2021. In December 2025 the brand opened a third branch at 1200 Ocean Drive in Miami Beach; the Bayside room is the one with the marina below.
Its website lists the Bayside address but no hours, and Bayside's own directory page for it is out of date, so call or check its current Google listing before you go.
The Miami River: fish from the boat, and a late-night lounge
Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market has been family-owned and operated for over 50 years, and it says its seafood goes straight from its own boats to the table. It is the least polished table on this page and the most honest. The menu posts real prices: a mahi-mahi sandwich is $16 and a grouper sandwich $20, grilled, blackened or fried. The whole yellowtail snapper and the stone crabs are at market price; stone crab season runs from October 15 to May 1, so it has just started.
Also on the river, Seaspice Brasserie & Lounge at 412 NW North River Drive is the dressed-up river dinner. Its regular hours vary between listings. The tourism board lists a hosted social dinner there on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 7 to 10 pm, with tickets from $127.57 and three courses served family style.
CASA NEOS
CASA NEOS is a Mediterranean restaurant on the north bank of the Miami River in downtown. In March 2026 its owners, Riviera Dining Group, opened a third-floor lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows over the skyline and a members-only fourth-floor rooftop over the river.
The lounge runs Thursday to Saturday from 8 pm to 3 am, with dinner until 10:30 pm, and Sunday from 8 pm to 1 am without dinner. It is 21 and over, with DJs and bottle service after 11 pm. Book the restaurant downstairs for an earlier, calmer meal.
Monty's Raw Bar
Monty's is the open-air raw bar on the water at Bayshore Landing in Coconut Grove. It opens at 11:30 am every day and closes at 10 pm Sunday to Thursday and 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.
Parking is easier than it looks: bring your ticket for three free hours in Miami Parking Authority Lot 72 next door, or use Garage 5 at Regatta Harbor, a $10 flat rate on weekends. Valet is available. If you come by boat, call the Bayshore Landing dock master ahead at 305-854-7997.
