Best for a date or a group that wants serious Mexican food, strong agave cocktails and a dressed-up room. The trade-off: it's $$$, steakhouse-priced at the top end, and busy enough that you'll want a reservation.

What to order

The menu runs state by state across Mexico. It leans on handmade tortillas and salsas ground in a molcajete, plus a few lab-kitchen moves like spherification and foams. Start with the king crab aguachile or the tuna tostadas on crispy wonton. The molcajetes (rib eye, chicken or al pastor) are built to share, and the duck enchiladas suizas make a good case for one more plate. The big-ticket items are a 32 oz prime tomahawk, a seafood platter with lobster tail and octopus, and a whole butterflied snapper in your pick of four marinades. It's $$$, and the steak end of the menu gets expensive fast.

The bar and the room

Monumental bars anchor the room, backed by one of the larger tequila and mezcal lists in town and a cocktail list from the bar manager. The decor is Mexican Art Deco in black and gold, with pieces sourced from craftsmen around Mexico, so it reads glitzy rather than rustic. There's an outdoor patio, and the restaurant pitches its tables by the bay. Miami New Times named it Best Mexican Restaurant for 2026. It sits at 4.5 from about 6,000 Google reviews, which tells you it's busy, not quiet. Plan on a lively room rather than a hushed one.

Late nights and Sundays

Hours run 12:30 to 11 pm Monday through Wednesday, until midnight on Thursday and until 1 am on Friday and Saturday. That makes it one of the better late dinner options on Brickell Avenue. Saturday opens at noon. Sunday starts at 11 am with a brunch menu and closes at 11 pm. There's also a deli and cafe side, the adjacent market, for when you want something quicker than a full sit-down meal. Book ahead for weekend nights, when the late hours pull in the crowd.

Good to know

The restaurant's own site lists Wednesday closing at midnight, while Google shows 11 pm, so check before a late Wednesday visit.
