Osaka Miami
The US outpost of Lima's Osaka group, serving Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei food and pisco cocktails on Brickell Bay Drive.
Checked October 2026
Best for a splashy Brickell dinner or a late Friday with pisco cocktails and a soundtrack. The trade-off is the $$$$ bill and a room built more for energy than quiet conversation.
Nikkei, explained
Nikkei is the cooking that grew out of more than a century of Japanese life in Peru: Japanese technique, Peruvian ingredients. Osaka opened its first restaurant in Lima in 2002, then grew into Buenos Aires, Santiago, Bogotá, Madrid and several other cities. This Brickell Bay Drive room is the group's only one in the United States for now, with Chicago on the way. The site doesn't publish Miami prices, but the $$$$ rating is fair warning. Google reviewers back it up with a 4.5 from about 840 reviews, a solid score for a place at this price.
What to drink
Pisco does the heavy lifting on the cocktail list, paired with Japanese flavors like yuzu and matcha. There's a real sake selection too, plus specialty drinks built on shiso leaf and seasonal Peruvian fruit. The site also lists a separate Kero Bar menu, worth asking about if you'd rather sit at the bar than commit to a full dinner. Music is a big part of the pitch. The group programs its own playlists and DJ-style sets, so expect a soundtrack with some volume, not a hushed sushi counter where you whisper over the omakase.
Lunch, dinner and the late slot
Friday and Saturday are the nights to stay late, with service running until midnight. Weeknights close at 11 pm, Sunday dinner wraps at 10, and Monday is dinner only. Lunch runs noon to 3 pm Tuesday through Friday, and Sunday gets a longer midday stretch until 4. One snag: the restaurant's own site lists slightly different hours, with lunch starting at 1 pm, Thursday open until midnight and no Monday service. Call before you plan around an edge time. Delivery and takeout also stop earlier than the dining room.

Good to know
Google and the restaurant's site disagree on Monday and Thursday hours, so call before a Monday dinner or a late Thursday.
