Resumo

  • Tunnel terminals: AA (MSC), A (Royal Caribbean), B (Norwegian), C and D (Carnival).
  • Bridge terminals: E and F (Carnival), G, J and V (Virgin Voyages).
  • Biggest: Terminal AA, opened 2025: up to 3 ships and 36,000 guests a day.
  • Coming: Terminal G for Royal Caribbean, expected in 2027.
  • Low garages: Garage D upper floors: 6 feet 8 inches clearance.

Find your terminal letter first, then use the entrance PortMiami assigns to it for the 2026-27 season: the tunnel for AA to D, the bridge for E to V; arriving at your embarkation time matters more than arriving early.

Tunnel or bridge: the one thing to know this season

PortMiami sits on an island off downtown, and there are two ways on: the PortMiami Tunnel, which connects to the highways, and the PortMiami Bridge from downtown. On 16 October 2026 the port split the terminals between them for the 2026-27 season, which has 81 high-season days with 7 to 10 ships in port.

Terminals AA, A, B, C and D use the tunnel. Terminals E, F, G, J and V use the bridge. Rideshare cars and passenger carriers are directed through the tunnel to their staging areas. Taxis stage in two lots: Lot 1 across from Terminal C, reached by the tunnel, and Lot 2 across from Terminal E, reached by the bridge.

The port's other request is simple: arrive at your scheduled embarkation time, not earlier. On select dates the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office and City of Miami Police help manage traffic on Biscayne Boulevard and nearby downtown streets, and the port also uses its cargo roads to ease the queue.

Disabled guests and veterans

Every port garage has designated spaces for disabled permits. A car with a disabled permit or plate gets the first 2 hours free, then pays the standard rate. Vehicles with specialized equipment such as ramps, lifts or hand controls, Florida disabled veteran plates, or the Florida Toll Exemption permit park free.

Disabled veterans park free when the veteran is in the car: on exit, show the attendant the ticket, a driver's license and the registration, and fill in a short form. Accessible restrooms are spread through the terminals, some phone banks have TTY, and wheelchair users pay no surcharge for a wheelchair-accessible taxi. For anything else, the port's ADA contact is 305-498-4491; services on the ship are your cruise line's call.

  • Check the terminal letter on your boarding documents the night before
  • Arrive at your assigned embarkation time; the port asks guests not to come early
  • Port garages take cash and major credit cards, not debit cards
  • Measure your vehicle if it is tall; several garages are under 7 feet above the first floor
  • To see which ships are in port today, use PortMiami's Daily Dock Report
  • Keep travel documents in your hand luggage, not in bags you hand to porters
