Коротко

  • Easiest rental: Citi Bike Miami: app or station kiosk, in Miami, Miami Beach, Surfside and Bay Harbor Islands.
  • Price: 30 minutes $6.95, 1 hour $8.95, 4 hours $18, a day $24, plus tax.
  • Age: 18 and over for Citi Bike.
  • Where not to ride: Lincoln Road (except 2 to 9 am), Ocean Drive sidewalks from 5th to 15th Street.
  • Best rides out of town: Shark Valley's 15-mile Everglades loop; Oleta River State Park trails.

For a few hours around Miami Beach or downtown, rent a Citi Bike from a station with the app or the kiosk; for a real ride, rent at Shark Valley in the Everglades or at Oleta River State Park.

Rules to know before you unlock a bike

  • Citi Bike riders must be 18 or older; you pay with a credit card in the app or at the station kiosk
  • Dock the bike every time you stop: an unattended bike can cost up to $1,000, and keeping one more than 24 hours triggers the unreturned bike fee
  • On Miami Beach, bicycles are banned on Lincoln Road except from 2 am to 9 am, and on the Ocean Drive sidewalks from 5th to 15th Street
  • Bikes are also banned on the Baywalk; e-bikes and e-scooters are banned on the Beachwalk, city sidewalks, Collins Park and South Pointe Park
  • On the street, riders follow traffic signals and laws, and pedestrians have the right of way
  • Citi Bike highly encourages helmets but its pages do not mention renting one, so bring your own if you want one

How Citi Bike works here

Citi Bike Miami covers four places: the City of Miami (downtown, Brickell, Coconut Grove and Wynwood), the City of Miami Beach including South Beach, the Town of Surfside and the Village of Bay Harbor Islands. You can rent in one city and dock in another, so a ride from Brickell over to South Beach and back on a different bike is normal.

Hourly riders unlock with the app or at a station kiosk; members unlock only with the app. If you rented at a kiosk and want a second bike within your period, repeat the rental with the same card and the same pass.

There is a staffed store at 723 Washington Avenue in South Beach, open every day from 10 am to 6 pm, and customer service at (305) 532-9494. Prices are subject to change, so check the app before you tap pay.

The tram company at Shark Valley also rents bikes for the 15-mile loop, a paved and flat road where most riders take two to three hours with stops. Rentals start at 8:30 am and run until 4 pm, and every bike must be back by 5 pm. Some bikes are held for walk-ups, and pre-booked bikes are picked up between 8:30 am and noon.

The rental price is not on the pages we could read, so check the booking calendar or call 305-221-8455. You also pay the park entrance: $35 per car or $20 per hiker or biker, valid seven days, and since January 1, 2026 non-U.S. residents 16 and over pay an extra $100 each. In season the lot can fill and the entrance closes for a while, so come early.
