Good for a Brickell lunch or a group dinner where everyone wants something different and nobody wants to dress up. It's polished, fusion-leaning Mexican with lobster and wagyu tacos, not a hole-in-the-wall taco stand, and the $$ bill reflects that.

The tacos to order

The menu splits into Classic and Signature, and that tells you most of what you need. On the classic side, al pastor comes guajillo-marinated with pineapple, cochinita is achiote pork with pickled red onion and habanero, and there's a cauliflower al pastor for anyone skipping meat. The signatures get showier: a garlic butter lobster taco, birria with a cup of broth for dipping, finely sliced wagyu sirloin, beer-battered mahi in the Baja fish. Tortillas are corn and made in-house. Mix a few classics with one splurge rather than ordering a whole round of the fancy ones.

Stations, not a single menu

The setup is a mercado, so the room is split into stations: tacos, ceviches and tostadas, desserts, and salads with fresh juices. That works well for groups who can't agree. The tuna tostada, with raw tuna, shishito and chiltepin soy, is the pick from the raw side, and esquites or queso fundido with chorizo or huitlacoche cover the snacking. There's a full bar too, with mezcal leading the cocktail list. Reviews on the restaurant's own site mention ordering from an iPad at the table, which keeps things moving at lunch. The group behind it, Grupo Cinbersol, runs dozens of places in Mexico.

Hours and getting a table

It opens at 11:30 am most days and at 11 am on Tuesdays. It runs until 11 pm Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, which makes it one of the easier late dinners around Brickell City Centre. It sits at 4.6 from about 9,700 Google reviews, so it's no secret, and weekend nights fill up. The restaurant takes reservations and books large groups and events, so call ahead if you're more than four. Save room for dessert: the caramel flan is the one diners keep recommending, and the churros come six to an order with cajeta.
