What to drink

The cocktail list reads like a dare. Abuelita's Vice is overproof Haitian rum washed with queso crema, with coconut, piña and a strawberry foam. Pulp Fiction uses orange juice pressed to order with reposado tequila and Campari. Several drinks are marked limited availability, so have a backup. The classics run $12 under joke names, like Pour Decisions for a pisco sour. Martinis and the 50/50 margarita are $10, Miller High Life is $4, and draft beer drops to $4 at happy hour. Something is on most nights. Nothing lasts forever

The Dead Flamingo opened in March 2024 as a pop-up from the team behind Better Days, Drunken Dragon, Foxhole, Grails and Spanglish, and it calls itself temporary on purpose. It started as a tropical take on tiki and says it plans to become a dive bar with a nod to Little Havana, so the drinks you read about may not be the drinks you get.
