Editor's note
Omakase in Miami means a short counter, a fixed time and a chef who decides the menu. Most of these restaurants do not publish their prices on their own sites; they show them only inside the booking page on Tock or SevenRooms, which refused to load for us. We give the one price we could confirm on an official page and tell you where to find the rest. Read the cancellation rules before you pay.

Naoe: the one with the price on the door
Naoe on Brickell Key is a five-seat counter, and it is the only omakase in this guide whose own site states the price: $280 a person, plus sake, a 20% service charge and sales tax. Plan on about three hours. Seatings are at 5 pm and 9 pm every day, with an extra 7:30 pm seating on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The rules are strict, and they are worth reading before you book. Reservations are online only, through Tock. Children under 12 are not allowed. The menu is prepared daily and there are no substitutions; the restaurant says it cannot work around allergies to mushrooms, eggs, seafood, rice, vinegar or gluten. Book all five seats and the room is yours.
The Michelin three: Ogawa, Shingo and Hiden
Ogawa is at 7223 NW 2nd Avenue in Little River. It serves Tuesday to Saturday from 6 to 9:30 pm, closed Sunday and Monday, and books through Tock. Cancel or change at least 72 hours ahead for a full refund; less notice can cost you. The whole room can be bought out for up to 12 guests.
Shingo is the Coral Gables counter of chef Shingo Akikuni, 14 seats in the historic La Palma Building at 112 Alhambra Circle, with an Edomae menu built on seasonal seafood. It books through SevenRooms; the site does not post days or seatings, so the booking page is where you find them.
Hiden is the Wynwood one, an eight-seat counter with two seatings a night, at 6 and 9 pm. Book only through Tock, and arrive ten minutes before your time. The site has a page called Secret Door, which tells you how much of the fun is in finding the room; the address on your confirmation is the one to trust.
MILA is the rooftop restaurant at 1636 Meridian Avenue in South Beach, and MILA Omakase is its 12-seat enclosed room, apart from the main dining room.
The site does not post the omakase's days or price, so book through MILA directly and ask what the menu costs when you do. It is the easiest omakase to pair with a night out on South Beach.
