R House Wynwood

Wynwood Latin restaurant and performance space known for weekend drag brunch, burgers, cocktails and evening events.

Checked October 2026

For groups who want brunch with a drag show and a party mood on a weekend. The trade-off: it's a scene first, it's closed Monday and Tuesday, and quiet conversation isn't the point.

The drag brunch

Drag brunch is the reason most people book R House, and it runs on the weekend, when the doors open at 11:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. The room works as a restaurant and a performance space at once, so expect a show going on while you eat, plus the cheering that comes with it. It's built for birthdays, bachelorette groups and friends who want a loud afternoon. Show times and ticketing details weren't in what we checked, so look at their calendar before you go.

What's on the plate

The kitchen leans Latin, with chef-driven plates, and the place bills itself on burgers and cocktails as much as anything. There's a happy hour too, which makes the 4 pm weekday opening more useful than it sounds. Prices aren't published in the sources we checked, so plan for Wynwood sit-down rates rather than a cheap bite. A 4.6 from about 2,900 Google reviews suggests the food holds up alongside the entertainment, which isn't a given at a show venue.

Mapping out the week

Monday and Tuesday it's closed, full stop. Wednesday and Thursday run 4 to 9 pm, likely your better bet for dinner and a drink without the weekend crowd. Friday stretches to 11 pm, Saturday goes from 11:30 am all the way to 11 pm, and Sunday wraps at 6 pm, so Sunday is a daytime-only plan. It sits on NW 2nd Ave toward the north end of Wynwood, close enough to the murals and galleries to walk them before or after.

Good to know

Closed Monday and Tuesday, and Sunday ends at 6 pm, so don't plan a Sunday dinner here.
