Why you go
Because the view is the whole point and they know it. You come out of the elevator into a tropical garden with the Brickell skyline standing right there, and for about twenty minutes around sunset the sky does the thing you came to Miami for. The drinks are good enough that you don't notice you're paying for the altitude.
When to go
Get there by 6:30 on a weekday. Friday and Saturday after nine it turns into a line, a cover and a DJ, which is fun if that's your night and annoying if you wanted the sunset. Thursday is the sweet spot: busy, not packed.
Know before you go
It's a hotel rooftop, so the door is picky about shorts and sandals after dark. Prices are $$$$ and the view is included. Book a table if there are more than four of you.
